HDFC Diners Club is a premium credit card that offers 5 reward points for every ₹150 spent on offline retail purchases. You can redeem them for flight/hotel bookings on SmartBuy at ₹1 per point, convert them to air miles with participating airlines (up to 1 airmile per point), use them for vouchers/products (up to ₹0.5 per point), or get direct cashback (₹0.30 per point).

This means your maximum reward rate is 3.33% when you redeem your points for travel bookings on HDFC SmartBuy. This is an excellent rate for offline spending, among the highest in its category. As a bonus, you’ll earn 2x rewards on weekend dining, which brings the offline restaurant spending reward rate up to 6.67%.

The Axis Ace credit card gives you 1.5% unlimited cashback on offline spends. Cashback is not eligible for fuel spends, EMI transactions, rent transactions, and wallet load transactions.

So, if you only spend offline, you’ll be better off with other lifetime-free or lower-fee credit cards on this list. However, if you spend both online and offline, it would be worth paying the annual fee. Also, consider that the fee is waived if you spend over ₹2 lakh online in a year.

The HSBC Live+ credit card (formerly known as the HSBC Cashback card) gives you 10% accelerated cashback, up to ₹1,000 a month, on all dining, food delivery, and grocery spends. It also offers 1.5% unlimited cashback on most online and offline spends, making it a great cashback card for both new-age and traditional spenders.

However, the 10% accelerated cashback is capped at ₹1,000 per month. While the card has an annual fee of ₹999 + GST, it offers four complimentary domestic airport lounge visits per year – one per quarter.

The Kotak Myntra credit card is an interesting option. Why? It offers a flat 7.5% discount on Myntra purchases (up to ₹750 maximum), 5% on preferred merchants (max ₹1000 per statement), and 1.25% cashback on all other spends. You also get a complimentary membership to the Myntra Insider Program.

You can either swipe your credit card at retail stores or pay via UPI to earn unlimited 1.25% cashback. However, for UPI transactions, the cashback is only credited for amounts over ₹2000.

The card does have an annual fee of ₹500 + GST, but this is easily recovered through cashback rewards. As a joining benefit, you’ll receive a Myntra voucher worth ₹500 when you complete one or more transactions worth ₹500 or more within 30 days of issuance.
